Conjunction-kinds of conjunction English Grammar Conjunction: A conjunction is word or phrase used join words, phrases, or classes. let us take the sentence, I am late because I could not get a Taxi. In this sentence there are two parts "I am late" and "I could not get a Taxi" the word "Because" joins the two parts together. Kinds of conjunction: Conjunctions are of two kinds: Coordinative and subordinative Co-Ordinative conjunctions: These are the conjunctions which either join those parts of sentence which are of equal co-ordinating rank or words that stand in the same relation to some other word in the sentence.
