Pronoun:
A pronoun is a word used in the place of noun.
Example:
He, she, it, they etc.
Kind of pronoun:
There are four kinds of pronouns, here we discuss each kind with detail through examples
- personal pronoun
- demonstrative pronoun
- relative pronoun
- interrogative pronoun
1. Personal pronoun:
They stand for one of the three persons
Example: I, We, you, he, she, it, they.
- pronouns of first person (I, We, me, us, my, our)
- pronouns of second person (you, your)
- pronouns of third person (He, she, it, they, her, his, him, them, their, its.)
2. Demonstrative pronoun:
They point to some noun going before.
Example:
This, that, these, those, one , ones, none, such.
3. Relative pronoun:
They relate to some noun or pronoun going before.
Example:
who, whose, whom, which that
4. Interrogative pronouns
They are used to ask a question.
For Example:
Who, what, which, whose, whom.
